Jenny & Toph had a winter wedding and wanted a bit of a Christmas feel to it. “I wanted the wedding to feel rich, warm and cosy. I spent a lot of time on Pinterest and on blogs looking for inspiration”
Jenny had a few appointments before visiting our store. “I had done a lot of research and went to dress shops to try specific dresses. My experience at Jodi’s surpassed every other appointment I had, which included a paid appointment at a fancy London boutique. I found the staff to be so helpful and friendly”.
When it came to actually choosing her gown Jenny didn’t end up with what she expected at all. “The shape was what I wanted, a form fitting mermaid/fit and flare, but I was expecting to have an all lace dress. My dress was actually the last one I picked out and tried on, I chose it as a silly pick to try on just for fun. I didn’t think any of us would like it.”
On the morning Jenny got ready with bridesmaids at the venue. Taking time to do her own makeup in the morning made er feel calm and relaxed and stopped her from feeling nervous.
“Walking into the room for the ceremony was amazing, the guests burst into spontaneous applause. My photographer said he’d never seem that happen in twenty years. We also had some lovely, but poignant moments during the toast, as my father had passed away the year before we got married, and everyone raised a glass to him.”
As the day came to and end Jenny and Toph felt exhausted but happy. “I felt so amazing in my dress and have never seen a dress that was anything close to it. My guests also didn’t stop commenting on my dress. I don’t think anyone could believe the detail and how beautiful it was.
We are so please Jenny and Toph had such a fantastic day and I think we can all agree she looked stunning in her Maggie Sottero bridal gown.
