Another month nearly over and another busy one has been had.

I don’t think I can possibly leave out the Royal Wedding. Whatever your view it was near impossible to miss. Meghan looked beautiful in a much simpler gown than I think was expected. More ladies are making a move to the higher necklines and more and more asking for sleeves. I do wonder if we will see more silk coming through?

In our own store we are fully immersed in fittings. Both brides and bridesmaids starting to have their own gowns fitted ready for the big day. There are a few things to consider ladies when you are going for your bridal fitting. Please remember to take along the shoes, bra or corset you are planning on wearing on your day. Once a gown has been tailored to fit you there is not always room to then wear a boned corset or push up bra underneath. They are generally very structured and fit where they touch. You do not want to have unnecessary alterations due to change in shoes or underwear.

Fittings are also the time lots of ladies order veils and tiaras. We have a stunning selection available in lots of lengths, colours and designs. Most girls still have veils as they can really finish the look.

With all our bridesmaids we are seeing an amazing range of colours!. Bright pinks, deep burgundy, full sequined, sage green, navy blue. You name it your wearing it. These are complimented beautifully with lots of little flower girls. You cannot beat a tulle skirt and satin bodice with a sash in the same colour as the adult maids. As this is a service we offer in store there are hundreds of colours available.

We have also had lots of brides already married this year. It’s been lovely seeing them again when they bring their dress in for cleaning and returning the hired suits and we get a sneaky peek at some of the beautiful pictures.

We will be running another special event in a couple of weeks. More details to follow in the next blog.

See you soon.
